David K. Donovan – Philanthropy and Community Involvement

The Donovan Family Scholarship Fund – Boston College
Mr. Donovan and his family are believers in giving back to the community and those that have helped pave the way for success.  A graduate of Boston College and a varsity football player, Donovan earned a degree in Business and Finance.

Today, he is a major fundraiser for Boston College, and has endowed them with an athletic scholarship  – the Donovan Family Scholarship Fund – since 2003 for promising student athletes. The current recipient is Carolyn Swords.

About Carolyn Swords

Swords, who earned All-ACC first team honors last season, led the country in field goal percentage for the second consecutive season.

The 6-foot-6 senior center was a finalist for the 2010 State Farm All-America honor and earned a spot on the All-Region team. Swords’, an ACC honor roll student, was also named to the 2010-11 Wade Trophy Watch list in August.
